My Journey into Greeting Card Art
Fellow art lovers and card-giving aficionados 🎨💌✨
Welcome to my little corner of the internet where I blog about my dream come true - creating captivating and unique greeting cards.
My name is Lara and I am a contemporary Expressionist visual artist currently based in South Africa.
In 2021, it all started as only a desire, because I didn't have the tools and skills, but with God's help, it has since turned into a reality. In November 2025, I offered my first digital and printable card for sale.
The Inspiration Behind My Cards
I’ve always believed that every card tells a story. Whether it’s a birthday, an anniversary, or just a “thinking of you” moment, the right card can touch a heart, bring a smile, and brighten someone’s day.
That’s why I pour my heart and soul into each design, drawing inspiration from everyday life—from the colors of a flower to the playful patterns of nature. It’s an endless source of motivation that keeps my digital pen moving!
Behind the Scenes: The Creative Process
You might be wondering about the creativity that happens behind the scenes. Yes, each card begins with a spark of an idea. I usually sketch out a rough concept on my device, bouncing ideas back and forth until something really clicks.
From there, it’s all about choosing and applying colors, textures, and, of course, a dash of whimsy!
Sharing My Art with You
On this blog, I not only showcase my latest greeting card designs, but also share my motivation for making a card.
